Title I Part C, Migrant Education Program

What is the purpose of the Migrant Education Program?

The purpose of the Migrant Education Program (MEP) is to support migrant students overcome the challenges of mobility, cultural and language barriers, social isolation, and other difficulties associated with a highly mobile lifestyle.  These efforts are aimed at helping migrant students succeed in school and successfully transition to postsecondary education or employment.

The Region 5 MEP also provides various levels of support to local school districts based on their migrant student enrollment.  Region 5 is here to serve our migrant students and families.
