JAG – Jobs for America’s Graduates is Awarded $277,878!
Region 5 Education Service Center, Adult Education and Literacy Program is excited to announce our 2020 partnerships with the Greater Texas Foundation, which provided a grant of $199,132 and Entergy Charitable Foundation, which is providing $78,746 to continue with providing services for recovering at-risk, out-of-school youth and young adults ages 16-24. Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) is a state-based, national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young people of great promise. JAG is delivering the best results in its 40-year history, while serving youth who face significant challenges, to help them reach economic and academic success. "We're Not Just GED Anymore"
The Region 5 ESC Adult Education and Literacy- College & Career Preparation program provides educational opportunities to under educated adults in Jefferson, Hardin and Orange Counties. These services include adult education classes for out of school individuals who are seeking to obtain their High School Equivalency, learn English, and or need support through remediation while in college/training. Our services are FREE of charge and are available to all residents who are at least 18 years of age and no longer enrolled in the public school system (16 & 17 year olds are able to enroll under certain conditions, please call the office for details 409-951-1771).

Workforce Ready: ESL Students Complete Training Programs
Texas' first Jobs for America's Graduates program is here in Southeast Texas! This program serves individuals ages 16-24 who are looking to achieve academic, career, and life success! JAG SETX has been made possible through grants from Entergy Texas and the Texas Workforce Commission's Texas Industry Partnership (TIP) grant. JAG SETX is a partnership between Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas, Region 5 ESC Adult Education, Lamar State College-Port Arthur, Lamar Institute of Technology, & JAG National Network.
